Nestled in the cradle of the highest mountains on earth, Nepal is a country of amazing extremes – colorful cultures, superb scenery and fascinating history! Trekking is, without question, the best way to experience this spectacular landscape and to meet its people. Our seventeen-day trek takes us into the heart of the spectacular Mt. Everest, or Khumbu region. We trek along the popular and age-old footpaths of the deep Dudh Kosi gorge, up a less traveled route towards Cho Oyu, through beautiful rhododendron forests to Gokyo Lake (15,700′). Instead of camping, we enjoy nightly accommodations and meals in local teahouses. Our particular trek winds through small villages with a few rest days and lots of opportunities to share milk-tea with local yak herders and learn firsthand their traditional lifestyles. A fantastic 18-day tour through Vietnam, combining cycling, kayaking, ocean cruising, travel by riverboat and air, rejuvenation, and the cameraderie of adventurous women! From north to south, we cover many of the major attractions along the way, starting in the bustling city of Hanoi and ending along the Mekong River in Saigon. Enjoy meeting local villagers along the way in the picturesque fishing town and World Heritage site of Hoi An, the former Imperial capital of Hue and the historic capital of Ho Chi Minh City. Our expert guides will cycle with us past lush undulating hills to little-known provincial villas and French-style cafes. Kilimanjaro Climb (19,341 ft): Machame Route

Mount Kilimanjaro can be climbed at any time of the year, though the best weather prevails during the dry seasons, July through October and January through February. The Machame route is considered by many to be the most beautiful and scenic. The actual climb requires a minimum of six days, during which you hike about 60 miles. Accommodations are in private campsites along the way. Final ascent to the rim begins in the pre-dawn hours (we recommend a full moon ascent), and most climbers reach Stellas point at sunrise. From Stellas point there is a 2-hour ascent to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. This is a highly challenging, spectacular and rewarding hike to the Roof of Africa!
